The Start of Your Location's Legacy

A groundbreaking ceremony is a significant milestone that should be celebrated and looked back on with joyful memories. It symbolizes the transition from planning to action, bringing together those who have envisioned and worked towards this moment. This event is often the first visual beginning of your project's journey, offering a unique opportunity to capture the enthusiasm and collective spirit of everyone involved.

With NTP 2 Photography, these pivotal moments are preserved with the attention to detail and artistic flair they deserve, ensuring that the start of your location’s legacy is immortalized in stunning clarity and emotion.

Pro Tips for Capturing Perfect Product Shots

Think back to the last purchase you made online, what flashes through your mind? More than likely, you're seeing the ad or photo of the product that made you buy it! Especially in today's time, there's endless advertising you see daily, always trying to sell you something.

If you're a business, it may seem very hard to stick out from the crowd. Don't stress! Although it's a very competitive world out there, a professional product photoshoot will transform how the public sees your brand.

Whether you're a new photographer or a business looking to get an edge in its branding, our blog is here to help! We explain some of our top tips for taking perfect product photos; let's get into the details!

1. Get the Lighting Right

Good lighting is crucial in product photography, the right lighting allows you to highlight its best features. Use natural light if you can, as it often gives the best results. If you are shooting indoors, set up your artificial lighting to avoid harsh shadows and evenly illuminate your product.

2. Choose a Simple Background

Your background should not distract from the product. A simple, uncluttered background works best. White is a popular choice as it creates a clean look and allows the product to remain the focus. If you’re feeling adventurous, try a solid color that complements the product.

3. Focus on Sharpness and Detail

Sharp, clear images are non-negotiable. Use a tripod to avoid any camera shake and ensure your product is in sharp focus. Pay attention to the small details - they can make a big difference in the overall quality of the shot.

4. Consistency is Key

For brands, especially, consistency in your product photos is important. This means consistent lighting, angles, and backgrounds across all your images. It helps maintain a professional look and strengthens your brand identity.

Portrait or Landscape? Nailing That Perfect Shot

Ever find yourself in a bit of a pickle trying to decide whether to take a photo in portrait or landscape? Or maybe you have a photo you can’t quite figure out what it is about the composition you don’t like. When deciding between the two, there really isn’t a right or wrong answer; however, sometimes, it's not just about what looks good; it's about what feels right for the moment and how you plan to use that shot.

At NTP 2 Photography, we get how this choice can shape the overall look and feel of your photo, and we’re here to help you decide.

What’s Your Focus?

Think about what you're trying to capture. Is it a sprawling landscape, a group photo, or a skyline? Go landscape. It’s great for when you need to grab more of the world in your frame.

For something more personal, like a portrait or a tall subject like a skyscraper or a flower, portrait mode is likely your best bet. It adds a touch of intimacy or grandeur, depending on your subject.

Planning to Post or Print?

How you plan to use the photos is key in deciding. Some examples include:

  • Making a slideshow for TikTok or Instagram Reels? - Portrait fits best

  • Taking branding shots? - A mix of both for variability in content

  • Creating a business profile or business card? - Portrait is the way to go

  • Putting together a scrapbook or printed album? - Try both for visual interest

  • Printing for wall decor? - Consider your space and the intended layout

Try Both, Choose Your Favorite

Here’s a pro tip: experiment! Sometimes, the best shot isn’t the most obvious one. Flip your camera and see what each orientation brings to the table. You might be surprised at what catches your eye.

Need a Hand? NTP 2 Photography's Here

Struggling to decide? We've got your back. At NTP 2 Photography, we’re all about capturing those perfect moments, whatever the orientation. From personal portraits to breathtaking landscapes, we help you capture those memories in the style that suits you best.

Our Favorite Photos of 2023

Join Eric of NTP 2 Photography as he shares the stories behind his favorite photos from 2023 and why he chose each of these photos as a favorite from his year.

As 2023 comes to a close, I want to share a special collection with you - my favorite photos from the year. Each of these images holds a special place in my heart, not just for their visual appeal but for the stories and the people behind them. Join me, as I revisit these moments and share the stories that make each one unique.

Here are my favorite photos from 2023. Cheers to the New Year from our team at NTP 2!

Woodie's Wash Shack

This photo was imagined by the team at Woodie's and when they relayed their vision, we made it happen. There were so many challenges to wetting the concrete to create the reflective look, there was a giant canopy over the photo because that is where the vacuum station was, and we couldn't back up anymore.

It took a little creativity, some editing, and a tall ladder to move the various hoses and cables out of the way. Now this photo is used on their promotion items and has a giant mural of this photo printed inside their HQ that is 8' tall and 20' wide!

Brisket Shoppe

The Brisket Shoppe has made a name for themselves in Tampa, and I have visited several times. After speaking to the manager and then the owner we established an excellent turned into a new client. We are working with The Brisket Shoppe, Grill & Provisions, and their non-profit to share more about what they provide and are doing in the community.

Pemco Raya Plane – Portraits

I have been photographing commercial aircraft for about 9 years which looking at may not seem that exciting. This plane was the first of its kind (A321) in the area and was toured by hundreds of staff at Tampa International Airport. As captured, the owner was very proud of his creation, and I am always on board to photograph these state-of-the-art aircraft.

Tampa Bay Real Producers – Holiday Party

TBRP is a new client relationship for this year, which is a very cool publication that focuses on the top 500 real estate agents in the Tampa Bay Area. They host monthly panels and evening mixers for the top agents in the area. This portrait of Don Hill at this Holiday Event for 2023. We are excited to see where 2024 takes us while we partner with TBRP.

Glenn Law Group – Group Portraits

A well-established legal practice in Wesley Chapel was recently rebranded by the owner Dani Glenn. When she contacted us with a specific vision, we did what we could to accommodate. While moving furniture around the office to set up the on-location portraits to working around hair and makeup I am very proud of how these portraits look. Even better they are sharing the images and using these to give much-deserved attention to all of the beautiful ladies in this practice.

Sylvia Puentes - Branding Shoot

I have been working with Sylvia for several years now and her portraits are always some of my favorites but when she came to me with an idea to rebrand to promote her very successful podcast, Saved By Grace Podcast, I was excited to help with her vision. Her portraits always turned out incredible and she remains one of my favorites to work with. We always have a great time!

Artful Conception – Branding Session

Sara Chiarilli has been a good friend for years and a mentor to me when I first started in photography. Recently she has worked on some incredible projects and these two photos are a couple she worked on in the Westshore area. Everything about these projects turned out so great and the clients were very happy with her. If you have a custom project where you need advice from an experienced designer I would reach out to Sara and speak to her.

High Trim Tree Service – Branding & Team Headshots

High Trim Tree Service is a new client that we have worked with, and I have come to love this company and its team. The owner, Brooks, is not only running a successful business, but he is bettering the lives of his staff and the community around him. We came up with this photo to show off their capability but with their company having so many religious elements into it with the company name, logo, mission and so many more small procedures they are one of the best company environments that I have seen.

Howard Girls – Family Portraits

This family is always a highlight of my year because it is now a tradition that I photograph their 2 daughters. We always go to the same community which as a photographer keeps me on my game to be creative and show different areas. This has always been the highlight of my year and exactly what we promote which is legacy and capturing memories to last a lifetime.

And That’s a Wrap, 2023!

It's been an incredible year full of growth, challenges, and unforgettable experiences. Through my lens, I've captured moments that speak volumes, and I hope they resonate with you as much as they do with me. As we step into 2024, I'm excited for new opportunities, new connections, and of course, new photographs.

Stay tuned for more stories, captured one frame at a time. Here's to making more memories together!

Capture the Action: My Tips for Concert Photography

We take you inside the energetic world of concert photography! Read more to see the top tips from NTP 2 Photography & capture the essence of live performances.

Concert photography is like capturing lightning in a bottle – it’s fast, dynamic, and electrifying! At NTP 2 Photography, we’ve been in the heart of the action, photographing concerts where every shot tells a story.

I want to share with you some tips that have helped me capture those once-in-a-lifetime moments on stage. Let’s get into it!

Key takeaways:

  • Tips for capturing dynamic concert moments.

  • Understanding and adapting to concert lighting.

  • The importance of capturing both the crowd and performers.

  • Essential gear recommendations for concert photography.

Navigating Concert Lighting

Concert lighting is your friend and your challenge. It’s unpredictable, but that’s where the magic happens. Keep an eye on the light patterns; they often repeat, giving you the chance to plan your shots. Experiment with different settings to see how you can best capture the light show.

Remember, sometimes the best shots come from embracing the shadows just as much as the light.

Getting Into the Groove with the Crowd

The energy of a concert isn’t just on stage; it’s all around. Split your focus between the performers and the audience. Get wide shots that show the scale of the event and the crowd’s reaction.

These shots are as much a part of the concert story as the close-ups of the artists lost in their performance.

Essential Gear for Rocking Concert Photos

  • A camera with stellar low-light performance.

  • Lenses with wide apertures (think f/2.8 or wider).

  • A few fast memory cards and extra batteries.

  • Optional but helpful: A monopod for stability in tight spaces.

Capture the Vibe of The Show with NTP 2 Photography

With these tips and your camera in hand, you’re ready to dive into the concert scene and come out with some stunning photographs. Remember, the best concert photos capture not just the images but the energy of the music!
